DRYING YOUR NAPPIES
Drying can be a tricky part, depending on the environment in which the nappies are bieng dried especially during the winter months. Bamboo is probably the best fabric for reusable nappies, unfortunately it does have one downside, drying time. It can take anywhere between 12 to 24 hours to dry bamboo nappies, however this depends on how you dry them.
Most parents combine clothes airer with 10 minutes in the tumble dryer. Other parents simply dry them near some source of heat, like radiators, or areas with underfloor heating. So when it comes to your nappies you can decide which suits your environment and what is the quickest method for you. Our one size nappies use popper for closures and they are safe in the tumble dryer.
We recommend that the nappy covers are not tumble dried at all, for two reasons:
1) the come out nearly dry from the washing machine
2) velcro does not take well to tumble drying and it will degrade the life of the nappy cover if you tumble dry them constantly. This also applies to nappies with velcro or any other product with velcro. |
